Pay with Bank (Instant EFT) is a payment option on Kora Checkout where customers can make deposits directly from their bank platform by inputting their bank login credentials to authorize the transaction.
Here’s how it works:
This payment method is quite similar to the Pay with Bank method for NGN.
- The checkout is initiated and the customer selects ‘Pay with Bank (Instant EFT)’ and a record is created on the dashboard.
- The customer clicks on ‘Find my bank’ to select their bank from the list in the dropdown.
- Once the customer selects their bank, they will be redirected to their bank portal where they can safely enter either their account number, user number, or any such unique ID as required by their bank.
- The customer sees on the screen that their payment has been received once they have been successfully charged.
- The merchant gets notified instantly of the successful deposit via email and webhook.

In cases where you require further assistance on how to use the Pay with EFT method, you can always reach out to us at [email protected].
What happens if my customer makes the payment of the wrong amount?
Unlike the Bank Transfer method, the Pay with EFT method does not allow customers to make overpayments or underpayments. This is because the amount displayed on the checkout page is what will be deducted directly from the customer's bank account.
Where customers do not have up to the amount stated on the checkout page, authorization of the transaction will not be successful.
