Kora’s Identity Service offers a seamless, reliable and secure solution to verify and validate the identities of individuals and businesses (KYC & KYB) across various regions in Africa. How do I activate the Identity Service?
To get started with the Identity Service, follow these simple steps:
First, log into your Kora dashboard (or create an account if you do not already have one). Ensure that your account is activated and Live Mode is turned on.
Make sure you have the Identity Service enabled for your account. To do this, go to the Identity page from the main menu on your dashboard and request access.
Download the Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) Form from the request page, complete it, and attach it to your access request for further review.
Once access is granted, you can seamlessly integrate the APIs into your application.
Verification fees are charged from your available balance. Always ensure that your balance is funded.

We currently cover 4 countries:

How do I view the fees for each verification done?
You can view this on the Billing page via your Kora dashboard, you will see a list of all the fees that have been charged to your account for each identity verified.
What are the identities I can verify using your service?
Kora's Identity Service enables businesses to verify government-issued identification documents. The list of documents is shared in the next item.
What Identities can I verify using your identity service?
Nigeria - Bank Verification Number (BVN), National Identification Number (NIN), Virtual NIN, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Advanced phone number search, Phone number verification, Voter’s card, and International Passport.
South Africa - South Africa ID number (SAID).
Ghana - International Passport, Social Security & National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Ghana Voters Card (GVC) and Driver's License.
Kenya - International Passport, National Identification Number, Phone Number Verification, Tax PIN Verification.
How do I confirm the status of all the verifications I have carried out?
To check the status of your verifications, please follow these steps:
1. Go to the Identity page in the main menu.
2. Click on the "Verification Events" tab.
There, you will find a list of all the KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) identity verifications you have completed.
