Kora now empowers businesses to issue virtual USD cards to their customers via seamless integration with our APIs. By leveraging this product, businesses can easily create and fund virtual cards from both MasterCard and Visa networks directly through their applications. These virtual cards can be managed effortlessly on your Kora dashboard, providing full control over your card program and allowing you to optimize your financial operations.
With this service, you can create a virtual card for each customer, linking it directly to your platform’s wallet feature. This enables your customers to make payments using funds within your platform in a secure, convenient, and straightforward manner.
How do I get enabled for this service?
To use the Virtual Cards feature, follow these steps:
Log in to your Kora account or create one if you don’t have one already.
Ensure that your account is active and Live Mode is turned on.
Enable the Card Issuance service by requesting access via the ‘Issuing’ page in your dashboard.
How do I create my Virtual Card?
Step 1: First, create a cardholder. A cardholder is an entity to whom the card will be issued.
Step 2: Once a cardholder is created, you can issue virtual cards for that holder.
Step 3: Choose the card scheme (Visa or MasterCard) for the virtual card, or let the system default to MasterCard.
What do I need to use this product?
Account Activation: Ensure that you have an active Kora account and that Live Mode is enabled.
Card Issuance Access: Request access to the Card Issuance service through the 'Issuing' page on your dashboard.
PCI DSS Compliance: Your business has to be PCI DSS compliant to use the service. Upon requesting access, you’ll be required to submit relevant business and use case information for approval. However, if you do not have this, please contact our sales team at [email protected] for further assistance.
How many types of Issuance products do you offer?
Kora has two types of card issuance products: Reserved Virtual Cards and Issued Cards/ Customer cards.
What is the difference between the cards?
RESERVED VIRTUAL CARDS (RVCs): RVCs can be issued and managed via the dashboard. These cards are issued to businesses for their use; simply put, they use these cards to manage their organization's expenses, such as paying for utilities and the like. RVCs can be issued via the dashboard.
ISSUED CARDS / CUSTOMER CARDS: These are cards merchants can extend to their clients. These cards are issued via APIs. For issued cards, you can manage billing and configure card issuing dynamics once you consume our APIs.
How many cards do you issue per client?
Reserved Virtual Cards: The number of RVCs allocated to organizations depends on the type of plan they wish to subscribe to:
Startups - 5 cards
Growth - 10 cards
Enterprise - 20 cards.
Issued / Customers Cards: The number of issued cards given to organizations varies depending on the type of plan they wish to subscribe to:
Startups - 100 cards
Growth - 1,000 cards
Enterprise - UNLIMITED.
How do I see the details of the Virtual Cards created?
You can view the details of any virtual card on the Kora dashboard after the card is successfully created.
How do I get to know the status of the payment?
The payment status is visible directly on the Kora dashboard. Additionally, a webhook notification will be sent to your server, notifying you of successful or reversed payments.
How to view the details of a card issuance transaction?
Log in to your dashboard.
Navigate to the Issuing page and select the Card Transactions tab.
If you want to view specific transactions made by a cardholder, simply go to the details page of their virtual card.
